This is the new security fencing at the King's Road entrance, which which should help considerably with security at this access point. Although technically the responsibility of the Council as landlords this was funded by grants obtained by the Allotment Soc. who also managed its construction.

Apple and Pear Trees

The Allotment Soc has planted a number of apple and pear trees behind the Shop. Will these attract the attention of scrumpers? earn the wrath of Alexander Drive when they make a 12 - 18 ft high hedge? secure sufficient volunteers to prune and maintain? Who knows? Time will tell. Perhaps the money would have been better spent fixing the holes in the roads.
